Hungarian goose down is world-famous for its remarkable properties – incredible loft, softness, and insulation – and the down selected for our Pure Hungarian Goose Down Duvet is of the very finest standard. This exceptional filling, combined with the finest pure cotton smooth casing, makes for a truly perfect duvet. We believe it is the very best in bedding.
High Quality Down
The secret of a truly great down duvet lies in the quality of filling – and this duvet has the best. Our supplier sources down fillings for some of the most demanding luxury hotels worldwide and the quality of this 100% pure Hungarian down exceeds anything they have worked with in over 20 years.
Only the finest down is used for this duvet and the filling is certified 100% pure Hungarian. It is also treated within Europe under strict EU guidelines before it is used in the final manufacturing process.
This duvet has an incredible fill power of 800, which means it is super fluffy. You will certainly notice the difference as it will fluff up as if new time after time for you. And while it is exceptionally light, the duvet drapes around you providing perfect, luxurious warmth.
With such high-quality filling, not only does your duvet feel fantastic but it will stay feeling that way for many years.
Superb standard
Everything about the Pure Hungarian Goose Down Duvet is manufactured to the highest standard, including the super smooth casing. This is made from specially sourced finest long fibre pure cotton with an exceptionally high 460 thread count.
As the duvet casing has individual cassette box pockets, the generous filling will also stay where it should do, keeping you warm all night long. Each pocket is separated with baffle walls rather than stitched through from top to bottom, so there are no thin, cold parts of the duvet.
Produced by a long-established Scottish specialised manufacturer to the highest standards, this luxurious duvet comes with an 10-year guarantee.

Simply put, the higher the TOG, the warmer the duvet.
It is an abbreviation of Thermal Overall Grade, which is a standardised measurement of thermal insulation.
As a guide, the following tog ratings are recommended for UK usage:
• Summer 2.5, 3, 4.5, 6 Tog
• Spring/Autumn 7.5, 9, 10.5 Tog (These options are often used all year round. Popular with Hotels).
• Winter 12, 13.5, 15, 18 Tog.
We also have All Seasons Duvets which comprise of two separate duvets – a Summer Tog and a Spring/Autumn Tog – which can be joined together to make a Winter Tog (e.g. 4.5 + 9).
Fill Power is the industry method used to classify the quality of down. It is a measure of the volume a specific weight of down occupies at a controlled temperature and pressure.
The higher the Fill Power, the better the down quality.
Anything with a Fill Power above 500 is good.
700 and above is excellent, producing a lightweight duvet with impressive loft, of “fluffiness”.
This is a very short video to show the machinery used to measure Fill Power in action:
Please see the table below which shows the total weight in grammes of every size and every tog.
The weight is the total weight of the duvet, which includes the casing and the filling.
No – for deliveries to countries in the EU we pay the import taxes and duties. There would be nothing extra for you to pay on delivery.

In reality there are very few things that can go wrong. Examples are rare but could include faulty stitching, movement of filling between pockets, filling leaking through casing.
Both Down and Feathers are obtained from Geese or from Ducks.
Down is the soft, fluffy clusters found on the bird’s breast underneath the feathers. They provide insulation for the bird. The down clusters are very lightweight and don’t contain a hard quill.
Feathers are the outer layer of the bird and used for flight and protection. They contain a stiff central quill and are heavier than down.
Baffle Walls are vertical strips of fabric sewn between the top and bottom layers of the duvet casing, which creates box-shaped compartments to hold the filling.
The walls are breathable, allowing air to circulate and helping ensure an even warmth distribution without cold spots.
Yes, we can make this duvet as a bespoke product of any size or tog rating. The typical waiting time is up to 4 weeks.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss your requirements.
Yes, your duvet can be machine washed at up to 30 degrees and tumble dried or line dried.
If tumble drying it is advisable to dry for a longer time on a lower heat setting. It is important that all the moisture is removed without damaging the filling by overheating.
We would recommend taking it to a laundrette whose commercial washing machines will be bigger and more suitable than most domestic machines.
We wouldn’t recommend that as it may shorten the lifespan of your duvet. The cotton casing isn’t as robust as the cotton found in a Duvet Cover, which is designed to protect and enhance the performance of your duvet.
They are joined together by easy to use poppers sewn into each corner and along the edges of the duvets.
It is 100% Pure Cotton with a top quality 460 Thread Count.
A 100% down duvet is considered the gold standard for a duvet. It provides excellent insulation but is very lightweight – especially when comparted to duvets containing feathers or with synthetic duvets.
Down is very soft and fluffy, containing no hard quills which can be found in feather duvets.
It is highly breathable, and naturally regulates body temperature to keep you comfortable throughout the night
This duvet is non-allergenic, as guaranteed by its Nomite label, which guarantees that dust mites are unable to get through the casing.
